Apostle Jerome Ira Thomas was born and raised in the Washington Metropolitan area and received his education from D.C. Public Schools; Maple Springs Bible College and Seminary and attended the Southern Baptist Bible College where he studied the Word of God to show himself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. He is the husband of Jeanette D. Thomas and the father of two children, Jerome Jr. and Jalissa Amanda. 

He and his family were members of the Southern Baptist Church for 24 years under the leadership of Bishop Charles H. Doom Jr., Pastor of the Southern Baptist Church Praise and Worship Center. As an Elder, he served as Youth Pastor of the Southern Baptist Church. He also served on the Christian Board of Education, Men’s Ministry, the Children and Youth ministry Bible Study Class, and the Praise and Worship Team. He also served as a Church Musician. God has blessed him with the gift of playing two string instruments, lead and bass guitars, as well as percussion instruments, and drums. In his ministry life, Apostle Thomas has received three ordinations, one at the Miracle Temple Church by the Bishop Samuel Grooms as an Elder.

After serving at the Miracle Temple Church, Elder Thomas moved to the Foundation Pentecostal Church and was ordained as the Assistant Pastor of the Foundation Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop Kevin O. Lassiter.  At the word of the Lord, Elder Thomas then moved him and his family to Southern Baptist Church Praise and Worship Center.  After serving ten years at the Southern Baptist Church, he was then set apart and ordained as an Elder by the authority of the Southern Baptist Church to work in the Gospel Ministry.

At the voice of the Lord he founded Logos International Ministries Inc., Church where he and his family served God’s people. Logos was founded in October 19, 2011 as a step of faith at the Lord’s direction to do so. The Church became incorporated on the 7th day of December 2011. By the Lord’s continual growth to apostle, he now serves as an apostolic liaison of Apostolic Grace Evangelistic Fellowship, where Apostle Dr. Shaun P. Johnson, Sr. is the Founder and Overseer.
